2011 Officer Candidates:
JoAn truly has embraced life long learning. She started he nursing career almost30 years ago as an LPN. She continued on for her ADN, BSN, and is currently enrolled and hopes to complete by 6/2010 her MSN from Indiana State University. She values certification and is certified in both Critical Care ( CCRN,) and also Emergency Nursing (CEN). She is passionate about providing exceptional care to patient in the ED. She currently is the nurse educator at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids, MI> Her goals are to provide the tools and education for emergency nurses to provide the best care in an ever-changing, fast paced environment. She currently teaches BLS, ACLS, Sedation, TNCC and is involved in the interdisciplinary simulation.

Christine McFarlin
I have worked at Saint Mary’s Health Care in the emergency department since June of 2003. I am a preceptor, charge nurse, and Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. I will soon have my mentoring complete and be teaching TNCC classes to my colleagues. Currently, I hold the secretary position for chapter #153 and I would like to assume the position of treasurer for the upcoming term. I have been the treasurer of my neighborhood condo association since 2006.
